About Us

Your child is more than a patient at Sunshine Children's Clinic. Our health care providers include pediatric providers, nurses and receptionists that are well-trained in compassionate medical care. With 3 conveniently located clinics, we have been able to provide complete healthcare to thousands of children in Madison, Leake, and Yazoo counties.

Our aim is to teach good parenting, practice thorough preventive care and avoid poor health in children. We make an extra effort in fighting obesity, asthma, speech and developmental delays, and other chronic problems in children.

The providers practicing pediatrics are dedicated to providing the highest degree of family health care. At Sunshine Children's Clinics, we operate under the philosophy that, the children are our future, and the preservation of their health is our duty.

Unlike most practices and clinics, we firmly believe that prescribing drugs is not the only way. We take the time to properly diagnose our patients and determine whether or not the child is ill or rather, simply being a child. We are not afraid to suggest behavioral remedies, and when the situation truly calls for prescription drugs we prescribe with precision.

Meet The Providers

Dr. Vibha Vig, MD

Dr. Vibha Vig attended University of MS Medical and graduated in 1993, having completed her residency training in Pediatrics. She began work in Pediatrics at the GMHC in Meridian MS, where she served the underprivileged children for 2 years. In 1995, she started her work in Canton, MS and introduced pediatric services at Madison County Medical Center. In 2002, she launched the satellite Pediatric office in Carthage, and in Yazoo MS in 2010, continuing to provide care for hundreds of children supported by her passion to relieve children’s pain and suffering at their doorstep.

Jessica Ramsay, CNFP

Jessica Ramsay graduated from UMMC NP school in 2012 with 7 years of experience in the NICU. Jessica has been associated with Sunshine Children's Clinic for the last 8 years and brings a lot of compassion, caring and wisdom to the practice. Our patients love Jessica, and ask for her by name at every visit. She is a parent of 3 beautiful children and is an active church member, where she sings in the choir. Sunshine Children's clinic is thankful to have Jessica as their veteran Practitioner.

Stefanie Wade, DNP

Stefanie is a graduate of the University of MS Medical school and completed her Nurse Practitioner training in May of 2018. She has been practicing at our Canton Clinic since 2019 and we are very fortunate to have her as a part of our team. Stefanie worked at Batson Children's Hospital for 11 years in hematology/oncology prior to becoming an NP.

Janae White, CFNP

Janae graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2011. She joined our practice in 2012 with 3 years experience in pediatric nursing and is now the head of the Yazoo City location. Her knowledgeable approach to caring for your children is beyond measure. She is a valuable addition to our Sunshine family.

April McLellan, CFNP

A graduate of the MUW and UMMC school of Nursing, April joined our Carthage location in Dec'15. With her background in Critical care and her passion for Pediatrics, April has proven to be a wonderful and much needed asset in our team of dedicated Providers.

Alissa Damiens, CFNP

Alissa graduated from Mississippi University for Women in August of 2017. She rejoined our Sunshine family as a Nurse Practitioner in September of 2017 at the Yazoo location. Alissa has four years of experience as a Registered Nurse and for three of those years she worked as an RN at the Yazoo location. She is happy to be back with the Sunshine family and very excited to be serving the Pediatric community of Yazoo City.
